CSV, XLSX and XLS files, up to 10 MB on Free and 25 MB with Omixa Pro. Macro-enabled workbooks (.xlsm) and other formats are rejected. Files with more than 500,000 rows or 3,000,000 cells are not processed.
Free cleaning: no. Upload, clean, preview and download without signing up. Omixa Pro: yes. Pro features need an account because they are tied to your subscription: batch processing, Quality Profiles, saved processing history and professional (PDF) reports. These checks are made on our servers.
Yes, with Omixa Pro. Batch processing cleans up to 20 files per batch. Each file is cleaned, scored and reported separately, and one failed file does not stop the others. Free accounts clean one file at a time.
Duplicate rows, inconsistent dates, phone numbers, emails, countries, gender and yes/no values, numbers stored as text and stray spaces. Column names are left as they are unless you choose "Standardize column names".
Only safe, well-defined fixes are applied by default. Filling gaps with estimates is off unless you turn it on, ID-like columns (account numbers, zip codes, phone numbers with leading zeros) are protected, and anything ambiguous is flagged for your review instead of guessed.
Your original file is never modified: Omixa produces a separate cleaned copy. A before/after preview and a change log show every rule that ran and how many cells it changed, and you can re-run from your original with different rules.
Your file is stored temporarily so it can be processed, and removed automatically at most 30 minutes after upload. Pro batch results are kept for 24.0 hours so you can download them, then deleted. Omixa keeps basic records (file name, size, row counts, quality scores, which rules ran) but not your cell contents. Pro history keeps quality figures and change summaries, never your rows or example values.
Partly. Omixa rebuilds the cleaned sheet and keeps values, other sheets, workbook properties, column widths, fonts, hidden columns and a frozen header row. It does not carry over formulas (you get the values), merged cells, hyperlinks, comments, conditional formatting, data validation, tables, row heights, fills or number formats. .xls files are returned as .xlsx.
